Barbara Ann Rosato, beloved wife and mother, passed away on March 6th, 2025 at the age of 83. Barbara was born on August 18th, 1941 in New York City, to Peter and Kazia Lucyk.
Barbara grew up in the Bronx, NY and was a graduate of Grace Dodge vocational high school. In 1966, she moved up to Pearl River, NY with her husband, Gerard and lived there for 58 years. Barbara worked in the 1970's for Apprentice Hall book company. Then worked at Rockland psychiatric hospital in the 1980's. In the 1990's, worked at Helen Hayes Hospital in the billing department until she retired in the year 2002.
In her younger years of being a Mom, she enjoyed many good times at Murray's Laurel Lake, Nauraushaun swim club, and like taking short trips to the Jersey shore. She and her husband had a summer cabin in the mountains of Wurtsboro, NY and loved going there on the holidays and weekends for large family gatherings and cocktail parties.
Later on in her life, she participated in the Pearl River senior citizen group and enjoyed attending their outings and trips. She was very proud of her home and loved having her friends and family over for meals and gatherings. She liked driving to shop-rite multiple times weekly.
Barbara will be missed greatly by her children and all who were her friend.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Valerie, who lives in upstate NY. Gerard, who lives in Pearl River and Peter who lives in Fort Lee, NJ. She is predeceased by her husband, Gerard(2004) and her brother Robert(2016).
