Anthony Joseph D'Anna

Anthony Joseph D’Anna a 60 year resident of Pearl River, NY, passed away on January 8, 2022 at Joe Rasso Hospice Residence in New City, NY surrounded by his family.  He was 88.

Mr. D’Anna worked as an electrical technician for Philips Electronics.

Anthony was born April 18, 1933 in New York, NY to Olindo and Gina D’Anna.  He served in the Air Force from 1953 to 1957.  On August 17, 1957 he married Rose Tomasini at St. Eugene R.C. Church in Yonkers, NY.

Mr. D’Anna will be remembered for gardening and sharing his tomatoes; flying his kite at the beach; loved riding his motorcycle “Suzzie”; loved chopping wood to heat his house; smelting his own bullets. 

He is survived by Lucia Greene,sister, Atlantic Beach, NY; Karen D’Anna, daughter in law, Stony Point; Gina D’Anna Goswick, daughter, Stony Point; Desiree and (Jim) Kelly, daughter, Delmar; Daniel(Irene) D’Anna, son, Pearl River; Millie O’Leary, partner, Blauvelt; grandchildren, Louis Levithan (Kaitlyn), Danielle Goswick, Alyssa and Jenna D’Anna, Joey and Julia D’Anna and many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Anthony is predeceased by Rose D’Anna, wife, 2010; Anthony D’Anna Jr., son, 2020; Adeline Rogenski, sister, 2021.   

Visiting will be held Thursday  January 13, at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home 100 Franklin Ave. Pearl River, NY.  A prayer service will be held 10:30 AM Friday January 14, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery Nanuet, NY.
