Noreen Lovett, nee Dowd of Pearl River, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, surrounded by family. She was 82.
Noreen was born on April 3, 1936 to John Dowd and Nora Sullivan Dowd in Clounsharraugh, Cloghane of Co. Kerry, Ireland. Noreen married Simon Lovett on April 22, 1961 in New York City.
She is survived by her son, John Lovett of Pearl River and daughter, Ann McRory and her husband, Brian of Tappan; grandchildren, Brandon and Caitlin McRory, and sisters, Catherine Dowd of the Bronx and Hannah Dowd of Edgware, London. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Simon Lovett, brothers, Matthew Dowd and Patrick Dowd of Co. Kerry, and sisters, Mary Dowd of Co. Kerry and Bridget O’Sullivan of Yonkers, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Aedan R. C. Church, Pearl River. Burial to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery, Nanuet, NY. Visiting is Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
