Frank Fleischer formerly of Pearl River, N.Y. died after a brief illness on Thursday July 4th 2019 in York, Pa. He was 74 years old.
Mr. Fleischer worked as a Manager of Engineering Services for Orange & Rockland Utilities in Pearl River. He was with the company for 33 years before retiring in 2000. He was also employed by the Rockland County Drainage Agency as a principal engineering technician from 2000-2010. Frank was a member of American Legion Post 1199 in Orangeburg, N.Y. and served as an Officer in the Rockland County American Legion. Locally, he was on the executive board of the Pearl River Parks and Activity Committee where he was awarded the 2019 Police Officer Alan Carpentieri Community Service Award. He was an active member of the Pearl River Gun Club. Frank sang Bass with the New Jersey Choral Society in Ridgewood, N.J.for the past fifteen years and had opportunities to sing at Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, Beijing China and in London. He is survived by his wife Barbara of Red Lion, Pa. and son Evan Fleischer of Lebanon, Pa.
Calling hours will be held at Wyman Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River on Wednesday July 10th from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. Interment will follow on Thursday at Germonds Cemetery in New City, N.Y.
