Dionne V. Acton of Pearl River, NY died Sunday March 22, 2015 at Westchester Medical Center. She was 48.
Dionne was born February 20, 1967 in Castletown, Geoghegan, Co. Westmeath, Ireland to Jimmy and May Kirby. She has resided in Pearl River for the past 17 years.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Acton; her best friends, her two daughters, Laura and Kelley of Pearl River; her parents Jimmy and May Kirby of Ireland; four sisters, Jackie Jackson of Ireland, Shelly Kirby of London, Emma Kirby-Filipo of London and Jenny Kirby of Suffern, NY; two brothers, James Kirby of Blauvelt, NY and Paul Kirby of New Zealand, she is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in law and her seven nieces and nephews.
Dionne was the owner of Characters Restaurant and Bar in Sloatsburg, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Thursday at St. Margaret's R. C. Church, Pearl River. Visiting hours are 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
