Daniel Angley Obituary

.Daniel Joseph Angley, 86 formerly of Pearl River, NY passed away at his home in Neptune, NJ on August 6, 2017.
Daniel worked for NY Telephone as manager of corporate services and retired in 1988. He became a bus driver and Director of Safety and Training for Chestnut Ridge Transportation
He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran serving from 1948 to 1952 during the Korean War. He was a member of the John H. Secor Post 329 American Legion and the Pearl River Elks.
Dan resided in Pearl River from 1972 to 2015 before moving to Neptune.
Locally, he was past president of the Pearl River Senior A Club, parishioner of St. Margaret Church for 42 years and volunteer for the St. Margaret Fife and Drum Corp. He delivered for Meals on Wheels.
Daniel dedicated his life to his family, the Pearl River community, his country and his faith. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling with his wife and the PR A Club and could often be found spending countless hours watching all of his grandchildren at their many sporting events. He was known to all as "POP-POP." He loved the Beach, NY Giants and NY Yankees . He lived his life to the fullest and was happiest around his family, he will be missed dearly.
He is the beloved husband of, Marilyn(nee Bowles) Angley, loving father of Dana Spicer (Fred), Kerry Burnett (Fred) and Allison Lawler (Tom); grandfather of Sean Spicer (Sara), Heidi Nolan (Walter),Ryan Spicer (Dana), Katelyn Spicer, Courtney and Kelsey Burnett and Christina Lawler and great-grandfather of Shannon, Hailey, Daniel John & Kiera
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Margaret R. C. Church, Pearl River. Burial will follow at Frederick Loescher Veterans Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY. Visiting is Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
In lieu of flowers donations in Dan's memory may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 333, PO Box 243, New City, NY 10956.
