Charles A. Cremeans died on June 24, 2019 at Nyack Hospital in the presence of his family. He always joked he was a “real” New Yorker because he was born in Manhattan, raised in The Bronx and later moved to Queens.
He was predeceased by his parents William and Elizabeth (Campbell) Cremeans and his sister Margaret. He was a proud graduate of St. Luke’s Grammar School, Regis High School Class of ‘60, and Fordham University Class of ‘64.
He had a forty year career with International Harvester Trucks as a salesman and manager. He always delighted in seeing the snowplows he sold clearing the streets for his friends and neighbors in Orangetown.
On October 6, 1973 he married Julie Ryan and together they raised 3 children in their beloved town of Pearl River.
He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 3, St. Aedan’s Church and was a regular at the Nauraushaun Swim Club. He loved to dance and tell stories, sometimes over and over and over.
He is survived by his wife Julie and children, Mercedes (Brian), his namesake C.J. (Yasmin), Katherine and his cherished grandson, Ronan Andrew.
Calling hours are Friday June 28, 2019 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River, NY.
The funeral is 10am Saturday at St. Aedan’s Church in Pearl River, NY.
