Ann Lucy Ciarelli of Fultonham, NY and Englewood, FL, was previously a longtime resident of Pearl River, NY. She died on June 6, 2019 at Newton Medical Center in Newton, NJ. She was 77 years old. Ann Lucy (Buonanno) Ciarelli was born September 8, 1941 in The Bronx, NY to Frank and Catherine Buonanno. Although Ann was primarily a homemaker, early on in life she enjoyed working outside the home at Pearl River High School, in the banking industry, and a finance company.
Ann was an honest and caring person who loved her family (especially her grandchildren) and was deeply loved by them. She continually showed her love for her family and friends by attending sporting events and musical recitals, knitting, crocheting, and preparing her delicious meals for anyone that wanted to eat. She is often referred to as someone who is sweet, kind, and who has never said a bad word about anybody. Ann had great faith which carried her through life, knitted blankets and other items for the needy, and was committed to her regular donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She also loved to travel with her husband, Bob to various locations within the United States.
Ann is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) Ciarelli, her children: Robert Ciarelli and his wife Susan, Palma (Ciarelli) Florio and her husband Richard, and George Ciarelli and his wife Wendy; grandchildren: Kacie and Gillian Ciarelli, Dominic Florio, and Matthew, Nicholas, and Lilliana Ciarelli; sibling Jean (Buonanno) Acocella and her husband Vincent; many nieces and nephews as well as friends near and far. She was predeceased by her parents and brother Charles Buonanno.
